Hello ziv and welcome to our Resort. What did you choose to present?
Hello, nice to be here.
I chose to show you my ongoing Rizograph zine project. Issue #5 just came out printed in red & yellow, Each issue is a collection of sketchbook ideas & drawings made into a 24 pages zine, printed in 2 different Rizo colors in every issue. The zine is published in very small editions.
Who are you and where are you from?
I'm Ziv Sameach (Zivink) - A painter, street artist & print maker living & working in Haifa, Israel. Living with my amazing partner & 3 cats trying to paint as much as possible & drinking as much coffee in the garden as I can.
What inspires you?
I'm inspired by the city, people, their faces, war & violence, German expressionism, underground comix & east European picture books.
Tell us about a significant moment in your career/work/life
I think one of the most important moments in my life was about two years ago when I got to be a "clean Addict" after 11 years of drug abuse. I just finished putting up an exhibition in Haifa museum about some of this story, you're welcome to go take a look.
What makes you happy?
I love to watch a really good stand up comedy, something that makes me cry & laugh real hard at the same time, Dave Chapple is a great example, I'm really happy when I'm done with a sketch that I think is good, when my partner gets something she really wants, when I have a chance to paint a mural in a place I've never seen before.
What makes you sad?
Violence and war make me really sad, people who abuse their power, liars and dishonest people.

You really should go to DRIX, a new board games venue with beer & coffee & the nicest interior design you have ever seen.
